Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Tom Kipp finished a strong 4th on his GSX-R1000 in the Formula Xtreme race at Laguna Seca.His teammate Josh Hayes finished 6th on John Hopkins' 2001-Championship winning GSX-R1000, Chris Ulrich finished 11th by a wheel on his Superstock GSX-R750 and Marty Craggill faded to 14th with an electrical problem that made his GSX-R1000's ignition cut out sporadically.Craggill had qualified 6th with Kipp 10th fastest, Hayes 11th fastest and Ulrich 13th fastest.Kipp was 11th in the Supersport race with Hayes 14th.

Craggill Wins In AMA Formula Xtreme At Brainerd!
Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Marty Craggill fought off the pain from a broken left foot and came from behind to win the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Brainerd International Raceway, averaging 107.938 mph in the 13-lap, 39-mile race.Craggill, who broke his foot during practice at Road America three weeks ago, rebroke bones in the foot during the race, when he saved a near-highside but in the process slammed the top of the injured foot against the footpeg.Iron man Craggill took a few laps to overcome the pain, took a deep breath and went back on the charge, running down and working his way through the lead group.

Kipp And Craggill Qualify 4th, 5th For AMA Formula Xtreme at Brainerd
Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Tom Kipp and Marty Craggill qualified 4th and 5th for the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Brainerd International Raceway, riding their GSX-R1000 Suzukis.Kipp's 1:38.369 produced an average speed of 109.785 mph and put him on the front row of the grid for the race.Craggill was right behind Kipp at 1:38.443 and 109.708 mph on the 3-mile, 10-turn course, which he had never seen before the start of practice.Josh Hayes, making his return to racing after several months off with a hand injury, qualified 11th fastest on his GSX-R1000, at 1:39.821 and 108.194 mph.In AMA Superstock, Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Chris Ulrich qualified 5th fastest at 1:41.308 and 106.606 mph on his Suzuki GSX-R750.In AMA Supersport, Kipp qualified 9th fastest on his Suzuki GSX-R600, at 1:43.076 and 104.777 mph.

Kipp 6th In Supersport, Ulrich 11th In Superbike At Road America
Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Tom Kipp and Chris Ulrich pulled out decent finishes in Sunday's Supersport and Superbike races at Road America.Kipp charged up from 10th place in the 10-lap Supersport race for 600cc motorcycles, chasing down the lead pack and coming up just a few laps short of being in the mix for a podium finish.Ulrich ran his first Superbike race of the year on his GSX-R750, starting on the third row and quickly moving up from 17th on the second lap to catch the battle for 9th, making up 3.0 seconds in the process.A last-lap slide in the Road America carousel saw Ulrich settle for a sure finish even as one of the riders he was chasing crashed on the last lap.

It was a character-building day for Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki on Saturday at Road America, with Tom Kipp encountering mechanical problems and failing to finish the Formula Xtreme race and Marty Craggill struggling to 6th on a spare bike after his primary racebike blew up in practice.

Kipp Starts On Spare Bike, On Cold Tires, Finishes 6th In Supersport At Pikes Peak
A problem on the sighting and warm-up laps saw Tom Kipp jump on his back-up bike and start the Supersport race at Pikes Peak on cold tires and with a different set-up than on his primary bike.Kipp discovered that his bike's clutch was slipping on the sighting lap, came in for a clutch adjustment, then found on the warm-up lap that the clutch was still slipping.

Craggill 4th In Formula Xtreme, Kipp 7th In Supersport At Road Atlanta
Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki's Marty Craggill finished a close 4th in the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Road Atlanta in a day marred by crashes, oil and water on the track and multiple red-flags and restarts.Craggill, who had qualified 7th fastest at 1:26.156 in his first visit to Road Atlanta, shot into second at the final Formula Xtreme restart and ended up battling hard for third, coming up just short at the finish line.Teammate Tom Kipp went into the final restart several laps down--his bike's clutch had failed on the second restart.
