Haskovec Released from Hospital
Road racer Vincent Haskovec has checked out of Long Beach Memorial Hospital and returned to his home in Lake Elsinore, California. Haskovec was hospitalized October 7 due to an infection setting in around hardware installed to stabilize his spine following a crash during an AMA Formula Xtreme race at Infineon Raceway May 14. The hardware and infected bone and tissue were removed during surgery October 11, and bone grafts installed. In the place of the hardware, Haskovec has been fitted with an external brace. He is receiving antibiotics intravenously.

Motorcycle racer Vincent Haskovec underwent successful surgery at Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California on Tuesday, October 11, dealing with complications related to spinal injuries he suffered in a crash at Infineon Raceway last May.

Motorcycle racer Vincent Haskovec was admitted Friday to Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California with a serious infection in his back, at the site of the original surgery he underwent to insert two titanium rods and 10 screws in his spine.

Barnes Ends Formula Xtreme Season With Podium Result
Team M4 EMGO Suzuki made the final Saturday of the 2005 season one to remember at Road Atlanta. The squad claimed their sixth podium finish of the year and also put in solid qualifying performance in preparation of Sunday’s Supersport and Superstock finales.

Barnes Qualifies Third For Road Atlanta Formula Xtreme
Team M4 EMGO Suzuki enjoyed a successful first day of the 2005 AMA season finale at Road Atlanta. Michael Barnes rounded out a strong outing by the team on Friday by locking up a front row grid position for Saturday’s Formula Xtreme contest at the end of the day.

May Top Supersport Suzuki In Virginia
Team M4 EMGO Suzuki closed out the Virginia International Raceway race weekend in strong fashion, picking up three top ten on Sunday. The squad had high hopes in particular for Geoff May in the Superstock final and he delivered with a top five result in the hotly contested class.

Barnes Fifth In VIR Formula Xtreme
Team M4 EMGO Suzuki put together a second consecutive solid day’s work at Virginia International Raceway on Saturday. Highlighting the afternoon were Michael Barnes and his battle for a podium position during a hard-fought Formula Xtreme race and Geoff May’s performance aboard his Superstock-spec GSX-R1000.
