Peter Hively

Michael Earnhardt

Peter Hively started racing in 1985 and had success in both AFM sprint races and the WERA National Endurance Series; he also raced off-road, competing in AMA District 36 Enduros.

Hively had a brief stint as a mechanic in an independent motorcycle shop before going to work in the IT field for 12 years. Needing a change, Hively quit the IT business and went racing again in 2000, working with Arclight Racing until the end of the 2006 season. Hively then joined Team Hammer's Contract Services Department in 2007, as a fly-in mechanic for Team Roadracingworld.com Suzuki. Hively’s proven expertise and calm demeanor allows him to get the job done no matter what the challenge and no matter what the time pressure.

Away from the racetrack, Hively is an avid motorcyclist, often riding his Suzuki Bandit from race to race during the AMA season.
