Lee Vaughan – Mechanic

Lee Vaughan came from a family that loves to ride motorcycles of all types, and his father started Lee out on a dirt bike at age four. Lee had dirt bikes growing up, raced motocross as a teenager and bought his first streetbike when he was 20 years old. Lee soon figured out that he wanted a career involving motorcycles—preferably motorcycle racing--and started a motorcycle mechanics course at MMI.

His first job following graduation from MMI was as a line mechanic at a dealership, but after two years he got the break he was looking for and was hired by a race team, joining the AMA Pro paddock for the 2005 season. He moved to another team for the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 race seasons and played a part in winning three AMA Pro Championships.

In 2010 and 2011 Lee worked for an independent Superbike team but had already caught the eye of Keith Perry and had expressed an interest in joining Team Hammer.

For 2012, Lee works on the #5 M4 Suzuki GSX-R600 ridden by Dane Westby in Daytona SportBike.
