By February 27, 2007April 27th, 20212007 News

Here is what to expect at the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides event March 1 at Daytona International Speedway.

The registration location is a sales booth near the tunnel under NASCAR Turn One, and will be used for Team Hammer (and CCS/ASRA) registration, which will begin Wednesday, February 28 at approximately 3:30 p.m. for pre-registered riders, staff and vendors only.

Sign-in for pre-registered Team Hammer participants will continue at the same location Thursday, March 1 starting at 6:30 a.m.

Pre-registered participants will be given priority, and post-entries will be signed up after pre-registered riders are signed in Thursday morning.

Thursday gate passes will also be sold, for $10 each, during the February 28 early registration period and starting at 6:30 a.m. March 1 20. Anyone wanting to enter the track before noon on March 1 will need a Team Hammer gate pass.

The registration location has two large, grass fields nearby in which to stage race transporters while signing in. DIS workers will direct participants to park in these areas March 1.

The registration building’s proximity to the tunnel under Turn One will allow participants to drive into the Speedway as soon as they have their credentials.

The tunnel under turn one will be open to staff and workers at 6:00 a.m. March 1 and will open to Team Hammer participants and crew beginning at approximately 6:30 a.m.

The first on-track session March will be at 8:00 a.m. After this time, access to the paddock from outside the track will be limited to in-between-session track crossings. Team Hammer participants who will only be riding on March 1 will be parked in the open-air garages east of the NEXTEL garages. In addition to providing shelter from the elements, this location will provide easy access to the classroom, located in the smaller driver meeting room at the west end of the NEXTEL garage paddock, and to technical inspection, at the Team M4 EMGO Suzuki semi-truck on the north side of the NEXTEL garages.

CCS and ASRA racers who will also be participating in the March 1 Team Hammer day will be directed to their assigned garage and/or parking space in either the NEXTEL or Busch Cup garages where they will park once for the entire weekend.

Any questions regarding the March 1 Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides event at DIS should be directed to the Team Hammer office at (951) 245-6414.

To get to the registration location at Daytona International Speedway from I-95, go east on Int’l Speedway Blvd., turn right/south onto Williamson Blvd., turn left/east onto the DIS grounds at gate 40.
