Lopez Charges To Second, Crashes in AMA Formula Xtreme at Las Vegas

Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki’s Grant Lopez charged from fifth to second and pulled away from his pursuers in the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Las Vegas, then crashed. Lopez had secured second place by the third lap of the race and turned the second-fastest lap of the race, but crashed out on lap seven, unhurt.

Lopez’s teammate, Josh Hayes, finished fifth. Both rode GSXR750 Suzukis.

Lopez had qualified sixth fastest, with Hayes seventh fastest.
