Mechanics Barry McMahan and Todd Fenton have re-signed with Valvoline EMGO Suzuki.

McMahan has worked with Tray Batey, Josh Hayes and John Hopkins during his tenure with the team, which operates out of Crew Chief Keith Perry’s race shop in Athens, Alabama. The last two seasons, McMahan has tuned for Hopkins. During the 2001 race season, the McMahan-prepared GSX-R600 and GSX-R1000 racebikes ridden by Hopkins have consistently been at or near the top of the radar speed charts at AMA Nationals.

Fenton joined the team this year and worked with Grant Lopez. During testing at Road Atlanta earlier this year, Fenton’s Formula Xtreme GSX-R1000 ridden by Lopez recorded the highest top speed at 175 mph, faster than factory AMA Superbikes at the test session.
