Kipp And Craggill Qualify 4th, 5th For AMA Formula Xtreme at Brainerd

Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki’s Tom Kipp and Marty Craggill qualified 4th and 5th for the AMA Formula Xtreme race at Brainerd International Raceway, riding their GSX-R1000 Suzukis.

Kipp’s 1:38.369 produced an average speed of 109.785 mph and put him on the front row of the grid for the race.

Craggill was right behind Kipp at 1:38.443 and 109.708 mph on the 3-mile, 10-turn course, which he had never seen before the start of practice.

Josh Hayes, making his return to racing after several months off with a hand injury, qualified 11th fastest on his GSX-R1000, at 1:39.821 and 108.194 mph.

In AMA Superstock, Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki’s Chris Ulrich qualified 5th fastest at 1:41.308 and 106.606 mph on his Suzuki GSX-R750.

In AMA Supersport, Kipp qualified 9th fastest on his Suzuki GSX-R600, at 1:43.076 and 104.777 mph.
