Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki’s Tom Kipp and Chris Ulrich pulled out decent finishes in Sunday’s Supersport and Superbike races at Road America.

Kipp charged up from 10th place in the 10-lap Supersport race for 600cc motorcycles, chasing down the lead pack and coming up just a few laps short of being in the mix for a podium finish.

Ulrich ran his first Superbike race of the year on his GSX-R750, starting on the third row and quickly moving up from 17th on the second lap to catch the battle for 9th, making up 3.0 seconds in the process.

A last-lap slide in the Road America carousel saw Ulrich settle for a sure finish even as one of the riders he was chasing crashed on the last lap. In machine terms, Ulrich was the third rider across the finish line on a Superstock-spec racebike instead of a factory Superbike.
