A tough start to the weekend at the Pikes Peak International Raceway bullring saw Team Valvoline EMGO Suzuki’s Tom Kipp finish 5th in Saturday’s Formula Xtreme race, after teammate Marty Craggill crashed out. Kipp charged up from ninth on the grid–on the third row–and raced hard with the leaders early-on before settling in for a strong fifth-place finish. Craggill started sixth on the grid, on row 2, and was just behind Kipp when he crashed.

Kipp is 6th in Formula Xtreme points after 4 of 9 races, and Craggill is 11th in points.

In Superstock action, Chris Ulrich struggled all weekend but came from 14th on the grid–on the 5th row–to finish 9th in the final event held on Saturday, and was gaining on eighth.

Ulrich is 5th in Superstock points after 5 of 10 races.
